Matthews Design Group, Inc. (MDG) is a diverse team of highly-skilled and experienced engineers, designers, and drafters.  MDG consists of seven (7) employees including six degreed (6) engineers, four (4) of which are Professional Engineers.  We are located just north of the historic district in St. Augustine, FL, and are the largest civil engineering firm based in St. Johns County.

MDG is not only committed to the clients we serve, we are also committed to improving the communities we serve.  We are a strong supporter of local charities through the contribution of time and professional service hours to several local agencies.  Specifically we are currently working on the engineering and design for the new Boys & Girls Club facility, the St. Augustine Youth Services group home, and the ARC of St. Johns Therapeutic Learning Center.  Members of the MDG staff also serve on boards for local non-profit agencies, such as the ARC of St. Johns and the Wolfson Children's Hospital Family Advisory Council.  The 2007 and 2008 MDG March for Babies team of walkers raised over $3,500 to benefit the March of Dimes.  

MDG also takes pride in participating in numerous civic and volunteer organizations throughout our community.   Some of these organizations include:  the St. Johns (classes of '05 and '08), Kiwanis Club of St. Augustine, Gator Bowl Association, as well as various local charities.  MDG is also a member of the St. Johns, Flagler, Putnam, and Nassau, FL Chambers of Commerce, and the Brunswick, GA Chamber of Commerce, as well as the American Society of Civil Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers, and the Florida Engineering Society. 

In addition to doing our part to improve the communities we serve, we at MDG are also committed to doing our part to protect the environment.   We have partnered with a paper recycling company out of Jacksonville, FL to recycle white paper, newspaper, magazines, and catalogs.   Our company-wide recycling program has also recently expanded to include printer cartridges, batteries, and cell phones.   We firmly believe that we each bear responsibility for preserving our environment for the generations that follow.
